How
did you get started in the paranormal?
I can't remember a time when I didn't see spirits, but I do recall when I first
heard one. I must have been about two years old, it was very dark in the room
I slept in. The closet door opened and although it was almost pitch black,
I could see what I would now call a gorilla, it stuck it's head out and said, "Peek
a boo!"
What are some of the strangest experiences have you had?
The strangest experience I've had would have to be a mixture of several occasions
when I've seen human and animal forms blended as one. A spider so wide it wouldn't
fit through the doorway with a man's head and arms. Deryl (my boyfriend) slithering
up the foot of my bed like a snake, his head twisting and turning, his eyes
rolled back in the socket and I felt paralyzed as he made his way up my legs.
That woke me from a sound sleep and the vision continued after I awoke so I
spoke to it (what I believed to be Deryl's spiritual essence manifested) and
told him firmly to; Get off me! He grinned and slithered in reverse
until he cleared the foot of my bed. I got out of bed and called him at work,
I said, Get off me! Deryl replied, OK. He was going
through some rough emotional times and I believe subconsciously his spirit
had come to drain energy from me while I slept. Like a vampire.
I've experienced hauntings first hand. I lived in homes or apartments that
were occupied for a good part of my life. One day I recall hearing
my oldest daughter fussing from the bedroom. I went to look and laying on the
foot of the bed was a pair of tricycle handlebars. They were real, solid, I
picked them up and they felt so cold they almost stuck to my hands. I went
to get the broom thinking I could take them off with that and when I returned
they were gone. My daughter was about four and told me the mean old lady took
them. Some weeks later I heard a baby crying, when I followed the sounds I
saw an old lady sitting with her back to me in a rocking chair (that was part
of the previous vision) she turned and looked me in the eyes, a cold empty
stare, I stared back into her eyes until she vanished. She didn't appear again.
How long have you been doing this?
Actively for over twenty five years I've investigated spiritual abnormalities,
hauntings, ghostly visitors causing relationship problems, but the worse are
when they affect the children and pets within the home. I believe all children
and all animals can see and hear spirits and have daily relationships with
them because they have not been tainted by the views of others who don't believe.
If you tell anyone for a prolonged period that what they see, hear, feel, etc.
is not happening anywhere except in their own mind, they will eventually believe
the stronger influence.
How do you sense a presence?
The same as everyone else, the only difference is that I'm aware I'm sensing
the presence. I know the signs. I teach a course online called How To Communicate
With Any Spirit. It would help any of you interested in being able to know
when a spirit is near you, who they are, what they want, if they are connected
to you through this lifetime, if it's male or female, etc. I believe that all
things spiritual, those things most can't see or hear, are explained to us
through the natural laws, what we see and hear and feel here in the physical.
I sense a presence in many ways. The five senses help me, changes in temperature,
changes in the energy flow quite like a small static interference, and of course
heart rate. A spirit will often times change our heart rates simply because
of what I call the RUB, the mixing of their raw energy and our confined energy.
It rubs us wrong, some would say.
Are you Native American?
My paternal Grandmother was Cherokee, and it is she who gave me my sense of
self. A part of that self is the connection to all things within my reach,
or even within reason. Grandmother had a stroke and her speech was altered
enough it was difficult to know what she said sometimes so our lessons didn't
continue as long as I'd have liked. She explained to me a lot of things about
nature and our minds, how we interact and how we fight against the natural
course out of fear. She showed me how to dance and how to be strong, how to
have respect and how to respect myself.
How do you practice your beliefs?
As quietly as possible if I can help it. I have always been concerned with
tipping the scales. (I'm a Libra.) It is my utmost desire not to become greedy
nor lose my humility. Those two things are very important to me. I do make
house calls, and when I lived near Ft. Wayne, In., and knew my way around I'd
travel quite a bit, usually taking a helper with me.
Its
important to me to stop the drama and the sensationalism that
often surrounds spiritual minded gifts. Some abuse it. Theres
nothing about it that isnt natural, that you couldn't do
if you opened up your heart and mind, told yourself its
ok.
I practice
journeying, but I choose when and why. I get a lot of requests,
but have done only two in the past twenty years. Its a
dangerous road to travel. I send spirit helpers to people. Actually,
I ask the spirits to please go help that person, and they do.
I talk to people who have hauntings that are disturbing and frightening.
I explain things in a spiritual manner, yet in a simple way,
so they use what I've told them to help find some peace.
I find spirits very fascinating, always have.

Growing up, it was common for my family to share their paranormal experiences with one another. I would sit and listen to their stories, always the skeptic. Later in life, while working in my profession as a Firefighter/EMT, I encountered experiences I cannot explain. I am seeking those answers. If along the way I can help others, then it will all be worthwhile. I am very serious about this quest, and need to be surrounded by individuals that are equally serious, and have high ethical standards with a professional approach to investigations.

A resturant in Mishawaka, IN, a historical theatre in Fort Wayne and a historical landmark in FortWayne.

How does your current profession influence or enhance your paranormal interests?
My current profession has nothing to do with the paranormal but I have had investigating experience with the military and as well as research experience. I was a full time real estate agent for several years which has also helped in the research of places.
